Muddy Nature (Kapha Dosha) Body & Mind

Muddy Nature (Kapha Dosha) Body & Mind

The Muddy Nature: Strength and Nourishment

Muddy humor or nature, or Kapha Dosha as it is known in Ayurveda, is the mix of water and sand or earth elements that provide structure and cohesiveness, grounding and stability.

It is your prime source of stability, grounding, lubrication and stamina in the body, mind, and emotions.

When in balance, this humor promotes a loving character, a strong body and hair, endless reserves of energy, emotional stability and the ability to enjoy inner contentment.

However, an excess of heavy mud can lead to heaviness-related imbalances, manifesting as heavy weight, laziness, foggy mind, lack of motivation, and excessive sleep.

NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF MUDDY ENERGY

slow, moist, cool, oily, heavy, smooth, and steady

Your natural constitution has more of the mud element in its mix, which means that it will reflect mud element characteristics in your holistic physical, mental, and emotional nature.

THE MUDDY MIND: PERSONALITY AND TEMPERAMENT

You are kind, loving, easy going and relaxed.

You are considered the emotional pillar of your family and people always come to you for comfort.

You are well grounded and stable like a rock both on the outside and inside, which is why you are not a big fan of change and tend to cherish your comfort zone.

Your lifelong friends mean the world to you, whom you see often to talk about random, light, common subjects.

You enjoy your time alone and notice the small beautiful things in life that other types seem to overlook.

You are loyal and tend to avoid responsibility in general, which leads to others taking advantage of you.

You suppress your emotions and never share them, which usually lead to depression and emotional eating.

You thrive in roles that involve patience and working with your hands like gardening, arts, psychiatry, child and personal care, teaching

When you are in balance, you are peaceful, loving, and always smiling

When out of balance or under stress, you become lonely, lethargic (lazy), and depressed

THE MUDDY BODY

You always have weight problems as being a muddy person means an easy gain of weight but hardship in loosing any!

You don’t have a big appetite but everything you eat seems to add some weight.

You love sleeping and need sometime to get out of bed in the morning.

You have endless reserves of energy, however the word exercise frightens you and your definition of exercise is a slow-paced walk around the neighborhood or in the mall with your friends.

You prefer sitting for proper meals and tend to eat large portions, and can binge on your favorite foods while watching TV or whenever feeling lonely or depressed.

You should always target warm, lighter foods and drinks while avoiding colder, heavier ones.

Common food addictions include high calorie foods, breads, ice cream and dairy
