AIR NATURE (VATA DOSHA) BODY & MIND

AIR NATURE (VATA DOSHA) BODY & MIND

THE AIR NATURE: ENERGY AND MOBILITY

Air humor or nature, or Vata Dosha as it is known in Ayurveda, is the mix of air and space or ether elements that facilitates movement, impulse, creativity and connection.

It is your prime source to experience flexibility, joy, and expansive consciousness.

When in balance, this humor promotes healthy movement, enthusiasm, positive energy and a cheerful character that loves change and to learn and experience new things.

However, an excess of light air can lead to dryness-related imbalances, manifesting as fear, anxiousness, dry skin, cracking joints, and difficulty sleeping.

NATURAL CHARACTERISTICS OF AIR ENERGY

cold, dry, rough, movement, fast, minute (tiny)

Your natural constitution has more of the air element in its mix, which means that it will reflect air element characteristics in your holistic physical, mental, and emotional nature.

THE AIR MIND: PERSONALITY AND TEMPERAMENT

You are creative, outgoing, and think outside the box, hence people always pick your brain in new concepts and ideas.

You are full of cheerful energy and joyful which is why some consider you to be the life of the party!

You always like to try new things (like every diet program out there or every new yoga studio), which is why it is rare for you to settle for something long term.

You start multiple projects at home or work but tend not finish them as you become overwhelmed throughout the process.

Your days are totally random and lack consistency as change is part of who you are.

You tend to overthink things and push work to the limits, which is why you need to slow down a bit and take care of yourself.

Falling asleep is a tough task for you because of your always moving mind, so seeking more grounding and taking things with more ease should be your focus.

You thrive in roles that involve creativity, communication, and movement like arts, music, design, branding, marketing, public relations, travel blogging, fitness

When you are in balance, you are energetic, cheerful, creative and full of life

When out of balance or under stress, you become fearful, anxious, nervous, and dependent

THE AIR BODY

Just like the air, your body is cold, dry, and always moving which is why your entire being revolves around those three traits.

Your frame is slim with apparent joints, and everybody hears them cracking when you walk or stretch.

Your skin and hair are always dry and your body drinks moisturizers and creams at anytime.

You love movement, it is a medicine for you, hence you’re always rushing somewhere and enjoy running as well as group classes like dancing and zumba.

You prefer snacking throughout the day rather than eating proper meals because a structured day is not your style.

You frequently suffer from digestive problems, so stay away from raw salads and vegetables as well as chips and popcorn to ease your digestion.

Common food addictions include cold, light and raw foods (like salads), sandwiches, small snacks, cigarettes
